To Kill a Mockingbird was an awesome book but I am kind of looking forward to move away from it. This past week as we have been discussing the ending of the book I have finally understood things a lot more. I was really confused at first about how Boo Radley was the mockingbird and who really killed Bob Ewell. Once I talked about those questions with my team and when Ms. James discussed it, it really helped me understand a lot more. I love how everything came together. It was so creative on Harper Lee's part. The test was kind of hard for me, especially the question about walking in another person's shoes. It was really hard to think of two examples. I knew that Scout learned how to walk in Boo Radley's shoes and learned how she shouldn't of judged him before she really knew him for herself. This book really made me think a lot and I am really glad I was given the oppurtunity to read it. It really talked about important lessons people should learn in their lifetime and how fast kids have to grow up in some situations.
I am really excited to start Romeo and Juliet. I have never read the whole story before even though I pretty much know what is going to happen. I hope to learn a lot about Shakesperean language so I can understand it better. That sheet Ms. James gave us about the insults is really cool. I never even knew some of those words exsisted!! That's some pretty mean things!!
Oh and by the way Kickapoo had a jazz band competition today at our school and we got all 1 ratings which are the best you can get!!! I am prety sure we got first place too!! Yea Kickapoo!!
