My Teacher Loves Her iPod
by Bruce Lansky
My teacher loves her iPod.
It’s always in her ear.
She doesn’t mind it if we joke
or chat ’cause she can’t hear
If we don’t pay attention,
she doesn’t seem to care.
Whenever she has music on,
she wears a distant stare.
Our principal dropped by one day,
and she paid no attention.
He took away her iPod,
and he sent her to detention.

For a second, I thought you wrote this poem yourself, and I was like, "wow impressive." :D Its really funny. Good find!
I have a theory that this was a music teacher and she would always sing along with her ipod and she was really a bad singer so her kids laughed at her. The principal took away the ipod not because of the no electronics rule but just because he was tired of hearing her try to sing.
This is a really funny poem. I would love to see what a teacher like this would teach.
When I first started to read to poem I thought that the person who posted it wrote the poem. Then when I went to the link I found out that other wise. I really liked this poem it was funny. I thought that is would be hilarious to see a teacher get their iPod taken away. Great post!!
