The Boo Radley game

The Boo Radley game was very interesting to me. Three young kids trying to get a middle aged man, for all they know could be mentally unstable or even crazy, out of the house. I personally think that this could be a very dangerous game because they never know what he might do because after all he did stab his own dad in the leg. I can see how the game would be fun. It would give me a rush too; the unknown is very attractive and people want to know what they do not know because they are nosy. None of the three of Scout, Jem, and Dill have ever seen Boo Radley, they probably just want to know what he looks like. This game is also probably very attractive to Scout, Jem, and Dill because Scout's and Jem's father Atticus told them not to. Well a dad telling you not to do something is like them telling you to do something bad because kids like to disobey authority because it is a rush.

I agree that the game would be fun because they were told not to but i also think that all three have different motives in the game. Dill i think just wants something to do and quite frankly dosen't have the common sense to understand that it could be dangerous. I think that Jem is very curious and wants to know what Boo looks like. Jem also as we have learned doesn't ever step down on a dare, Jem doesn't want Dill to think him a coward. I think even though Jem is older then Dill, Jem looks up to him in a way.

Now Scout I believe has more common sense then any of them. She dosen't think it is a good idea simply because she was told not to and she is scared. Down deep though i think Scout really is curious and wants to see him as much as the boys she is just more scared. Scout also is trying to earn the boys respect and dosen't want them to think she acts young or like a girl.

All of these factors lead to the three playing the Boo Radley game. Probably not the smartest thing to do but i guess in a small town you would always be having to come up with new things to do.

I think you are right about the Boo Radley game at the end of the book I hope he does come out and people would see how nice he is and feel sad that they judged him.I think it would also be cool if Boo became friends with Scout somehow.your are also right I know when I was young when my parents told me not to do something I did it anyway.I felt all grown up abd that I could make my own decisions when in realitity I was just a kid.

I think that the trio of friends is just trying to cure their boredom blues. I know when I was a child that when ever I had the chance to do something daring I would take it. That is part of being a kid. I feel bad for Boo though because in my opinion I think that he is a really sweet guy. I mean when it was really cold and Maudie's house burnt down Scout and Jem went outside to watch and they were both freezing cold. Boo anonumusly put the blanket around Scout. She didn't even notice but I bet it was Boo who did it because he was the only neighbor who didn't come out of the house to watch.
