The last few chapters have actually been really good! I love to read about what is going on in the trial. Another part that I thoroughly enjoyed was the part when Jem, Scout, and Dill ran away to the courthouse to see what was going on and found Atticus and a group of men talking about Tom Robinson. Then the Finch kids joined in and let themselves be seen. I loved how Scout just started talking to Mr. Cunningham person to person. It was like she made him think about where he was and what he was doing. He realized that this was a girl that was a "friend" to his son and that he was wrong for accusing Atticus that night.
The book is still moving along quite slowly in my opinion but I am getting more and more interested as I read more. I am interested to see what will happen next and what will happen in the trial. I am actually kind of scared for Tom Robinson. It seems to me like he didn't do anything. Well, I hope that everyone else is enjoying the book and is excited about the upcoming events too!

I realllly need to catch up this weekend. I'm a couple days behind and haven't started the reading over the trial yet. Hopefully it is interesting and I can dig into it for a couple hours.
I agree with you the story kinda started slowly and I was not sure if I would like it. And every day my mom would ask how the book was and I would say well it is still kinda slow and I really don't want to read it. But when the towns people came to the front yard of the Finch's house and were talking to Atticus about the trial I think that it started to pick up a little bit. And when Jem, Dill, and Scout snuck out of the house I could not put the book down. Now my mom wants to read the book.

I do agree the story is still a little slow ,but it is an interesting read!!The sene at the jail house was one of my favorites becuase of how Scout turned the situation around completely with her crisma and fast thinking. She is very clever and did something tremendously brave!I hope Tom is found not guilty but with all the rasist people I don't know if he stands a chance.
