Finders Keepers Losers Weepers
Jem and scout are always finding treasure in the kn0t hole in the big tree on the Radley's property on the way home from school. They have found everything like gum, twine, pennies and soap figurines that look like themselves!Jem and scout thought it was some kids hiding place and they asked everyone at school who the owners of the items were.No one owned the stuff. When they found the twine they decided to leave the twine in the knot hole for three days then they would take it.The twine stayed there then they took it.The knot hole was like a mail book but nothing could be mailed to the person who was putting the items in the hole.I wonder who is putting stuff in the hole??Are the items meant for Jem and scout or is it just a coincidence? Is Boo Radley putting the stuff in the hole?If he is why is he being so nice??Jem and scout were going to write a letter the the person who was putting the stuff in the hole thanking them.Jem then saw the hole of the tree filled with cement.Jem asked Mr.Radley why the hole was filled up.He said the tree was sick, but the tree didn't look sick. Why would Mr. Radley fill the hole up if he was the one putting stuff in there??This is very peculiar!I would like to hear others thoughts on this topic!
I remember when I was little and I found stuff in the street I would say finders keepers losers weepers.I also remember when I was at school and I would find buttons or sequins on the floor that I liked to put on a craft we were doing.I would then again say finders keepers losers weepers. Then a kid would say to me that they had dropped what I had found on the floor, and they wanted it back so they could put it on their craft.I would tell them finders keepers losers weepers ,and that it was mine and there was nothing they could do to get it back.It was their lose and everyone abided by the rules.

I recall those times when I was little and we never took any type of treasure for granted. Those were the days!!
