I enjoy reading 'To Kill a Mocking Bird.' It is interesting to explore the mind of a young girl in the South, from about fifty years ago. The adventures she experiences always have Jem right by her side, but it is usually the other way around Scout right by Jem's side. When Jem and Scout found the bar of soap carved to look like them I thought that had been really strange. Who would take the time to carve two kids who use a knot whole as a 'one way mailbox?' That part was a bit suspicious. If you are having a hard time reading the book now just keep reading because I have read a bit a head and it gets better.

I did find it very strange as well when they found the soap!!Then Boo sealed the tree up.I think he put all that stuff in the tree but then why would you seal it up??
Boo did not seal up the tree. Mr. Radley sealed up the tree. When Jem and Scout asked him why he sealed up the tree, Mr. Radley said it was because the tree was dying. He said that if you clog the whole then it will keep the tree from dying. Thats why the tree was sealed up. Thanks for commenting.
