An October Day
It was a warm October day,
And it was just like you see in the movies,
Children playing in a pile of leaves
And a dad raking them up
Time after time;
The great fall smell fills the air,
Preparing for winter hibernation;
Once you raked up all the leaves,
They would be all over the place in 10 minutes;
It was almost like jumping into
A huge ball pit at Chuckie Cheese’s;
The leaves were like wool on my arms,
It was a warm October day,
And it was just like you see in the movies,
Children playing in a pile of leaves
And a dad raking them up
Time after time;
The great fall smell fills the air,
Preparing for winter hibernation;
Once you raked up all the leaves,
They would be all over the place in 10 minutes;
It was almost like jumping into
A huge ball pit at Chuckie Cheese’s;
The leaves were like wool on my arms,
Nothing could take
The moment away from this picture.
