A Super Duper Week in English

This week has been a very exciting week in English class. The think aloud poetry we have done has been a lot of fun. Yesterday's has been my favorite so far and it related to Romeo and Juliet so closely. I would have never thought about to compare the poem to Rosaline and Romeo unless my other classmates would have said something. It is so interesting what different people get from the same poem. Especially between boys and girls the answers are so diverse. I hope we get to do more poetry before the year is over because it really helps you get to know your classmates better.
Our group projects have been another highlight of the week. My team has worked together very well and we have a great production to do on Monday. Our artwork is especially good. I have been selected to play the part of Juliet so hopefully I can pronounce everything. I am so glad we don't have to memorize it. I would never remember all of that confusingness. I can't wait till we get to perform on Monday.
So I read Act III the other night and it was really good. Do you all think Juliet is really going to have to marry Paris??? How is she going to tell her parents that she is already married?? What are they going to think when they already hate Romeo becuase he killed Tybalt??? That was so funny in one of the scenes I don't really remember which one but Lady Capulet thought Juliet was mourning over Tybalt's death when really her lines had double meaning and she was mourning the banishment of Romeo. I can't wait to read on and see what happens next. I am also looking forward to watching Act III in the movies. Well I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.
