Act Four!

"Death lies on her like an untimely frost
Upon the sweetest flower of all the field."

So I kind of feel bad for the Capulets when they find Juliet dead because they had so much planned for her. But the Friar did make a good point when he said:

"The most you sought was her promotion,
For 'twas your heaven she should be advanced.
And weep ye now, seeing she is advanced
Above the clouds, as high as heaven itself?
Oh, in this love, you love your child so ill
That you run mad, seeing that she is well"

The Capulets didn't love her for her, they only wanted her to be married and wealthy, which is so selfish of them. They seemed like they kind of cared, but they only cared about how Juliet died on her wedding day and took away everyone's joys at the same time! They didn't even acknowledge that Juliet went to heaven and was in a better place than she would be on earth. To me, the Capulets are very selfish and self-centered. What does everyone else think?

Wow. You definately hit the nail right on the head :]. I totally agree with you. The Capulets are very selfish. They don't even care if Juliet, their daughter, is happy and in love. They only care about marrying off their daughter. They aren't being fair and they don't even care that their daughter is gone. They are sad that she is dead because she can't get married and extend their family. It is very sad to me.
