Act 4

So I just got done reading Act 4 and it was actually very interesting. The Friar had a really good idea of pretending Juliet was dead so she doesn't have to marry Paris and can instead live with Romeo in secret. And the little compliments Paris was giving Juliet were so lame. He is so full of himself I don't see why any girl would want to marry him. I loved Juliet's responses though. They were so sarcastic and funny. So I was really scared at first when Capulet ended up changing the wedding day because he was so excited that Juliet was finally going to agree to marrying Paris. I didn't think her plan was going to work but I was wrong. I can't believe they could get all the stuff ready for the wedding in one night. It was probably going to be quite unorganized. Then on Wednesday morning, the Nurse goes to wake up Juliet and she finds her dead with all of her clothes still on. Everyone was so sad and depressed when they thought she was dead which actually kind of surprised me because when she was alive her parents always acted so mean to her especially her dad when she didn't want to marry Paris. Then the whole part about Peter trying to get the musicans to play some song and then they were arguing about the sound or something yeah I really didn't get that part. I can't wait to read the last act to see if Romeo and Juliet ever get to see each other again before they die and if the potion works for long enough. Oh yes and the movie we watched yesterday was quite interesting. I bet the other movie will be quite special to. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. Only three more weeks!!!

Yeah, I thought Paris was very full of himself and he seems like the kind of guy who expects to get everything he wants. I agree about Juliet's parents, too. They seemed like they didn't care all that much about her. I think the part about the musicians and Peter were suppose to be humorous, but it was actually kind of weird and it didn't flow. I thought act four was really good, so hopefully the last act is good, too.

Yeah Act 4 was really sad. We know their efforts will fail because of Dramatic irony. SO that makes it even more sad that even though they love each other so much they will never grow old together on earth.
