A Moment In Time

I really enjoyed writing peoms so here it is.

As I walk up to the 12th tee box at Payne Stewart Golf Course

I notice the audience quietly watching from a distance.

My nerves are raging with excitement, fear, and nervousness.

The heat blazes down on my sunburned skin.

I tell myself "stay calm"

But I felt like there was a surge running through my body.

I line up my tee shot and catch a glimpse of the cameraman,

Thinking to myself "make it good."

I swing back and then through,

And the shot couldn't have been any more perfect.

It was a thrill walking down the hole knowing that I had hit a great shot

And I was helping my team to the top of the leaderboard.

We were all exhausted

It had been and was a long day.

We were all tired but winning Districts we didn't even notice!

That was a great poem. You did a really good job using details and explaining some of the emotions that were happening. The poem goes great with the picture. Great Poem!!!!!!!!!
