When you really think about it Romeo and Juliet is written a lot like poems are. The words are very deep and have a lot of meaning. Poems can also use that type of wording. Also you interpret poems, just like you interpret Shakespeare. In order to understand Shakespeare you break it down into sections just like you would in a poem. In both writing pieces you usually can't just sit down and read it the first time and completely understand it. I think that if you look at Shakespeare more like poetry then you may be able to understand it a little bit better. Even though poetry can also be hard to interpret there are things to help you with it. Here is a link to a website that helps you interpret poetry. Enjoy!

I agree Romeo and Juliet is writtend like a poem. It has a lot of poetic devices in it. I agree that we all interpret Shakespeare in our own ways. It maight be easier if we would all look at it as a poem. Good idea!
