Romeo and Juliet Get Married

Today, we continued watching "Romeo and Juliet" in the two different versions. I really liked the modern version because even though the movie was a bit harsh for such a romantic and ancient story, the scene when Romeo and Juliet were getting married seemed so real. When they kiss in this version, they are passionate. In the older version, the way they approached their love scene didn't seem quite as real. But I loved how they were crazy for each other! I liked the wedding scene in the modern version because they used today's music and clothes, so it was easier to understand. In the older version, they seemed kind of stiff in their body language so it was hard to understand what the characters were thinking or feeling. It's really sad, though, because they love each other like crazy, but they're actions lead to their death. What did everyone else think?

I love the visual images in the new version, but I also prefer the acting of Romeo and Juliet in the older one. Just my opinion...

i like the new version when it comes to relation and understanding but when it came to the wedding, i liked the way that they depicted the friar in the older one as opposed to the friar in the new one.

I think that the modern version is easier to understand in parts such as the wedding. The older version seemed to stiff.

I perfer the older version over the newer version on visual images and acting but the newer one was a lot easier to understand.
