Great African Americans

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

While surfing on the web, I came across a really interesting website. It has a list of great African Americans you should know. Some of these people I have never even heard of but they did great things! When I read this website I thought back to "To Kill a Mockingbird" and how they gave no credit at all to blacks. If a white man called a black man an intelligent person, they would be shunned by the white race! It just goes to show that it doesn't matter if you are black or white, we are all people and we are all capable of doing great things! Here is a link to the website, enjoy!

I totally agree the color of our skin doesn't affect the people we are. I think if EVERYONE knew that our world would be a lot better place.

Racism is one of those things that should have never come about. In a way, I am ashamed to be white because of the pain and suffering we have caused Black Americans for centuries

I agree! I almost feel ashamed for being white too because what we did was cruel and unfair! It all could have been avoided!

This is a great picture Martin Luther King changed the world and he was black if the people of Maycomd gave their blacks a chance maybe they could have done great things as well.

I wish that Martin Luther King would've visited Maycomb at the time of the trial because then he would've definatly helped Tom win. I wonder if MLK did anything like getting involved in a small town's trial?
