Looking through a childs eyes will fix most disagreements

I thought it was really interesting that Scout talking to Mr. Cunningham was what solved Atticus's disagreement with the men. From Scout's point of view she was looking for a familiar face in the crowd to talk to, and she was only being polite by talking to him. But when Mr. Cunningham heard what she had to say it changed his entire point of view.

I think most of the arguments we are in in our lives could be solved if we just looked at them through the eyes of a 6-year old. If they would think the argument was stupid, then it's probably not worth fighting. Also the point is brought up that people in the story and in really life jump to conclusions without knowing backstories.

Someone is a lot harder to be upset with and fight when their 6-year old daughter is talking to you about your 6-year old son. Everyone is someones daughter, son, brother, niece, nephew, wife, husband, or daughter, and we never know what goes on in that person's life. We never know why a person is the way they are. Like Mrs. Dubose and her morphine addiction, you jsut never know. So I think we should all be careful what we say because we never know.

I'm also really excited about the trail coming up, I think it will be really interesting.

I think I said this on someone elses post too but I think we should have a special holiday where young kids can voice their opinions on politics and then we could see how peaceful they would solve things and then we could try to use a child's method of solving problems! That would be fun to watch!
